Durango Public Library
The Durango Public Library is a "Green" Building and the first LEED Gold Certified Library in Southwestern Colorado. In the United States, we spend 90% of our time inside. Buildings use 72% of electricity produced, 40% of raw materials and 14% of potable water consumption. Not to mention buildings produce 38% of carbon dioxide emissions. By building sustainably we reduce our environmental impact, improve energy and water efficiency, and create healthier and safer places for everyone.
